As we get set to kick off Season 2 of A-Game Media later on this month, we wanted to take the time to shed some spotlight on each of our team members who do a lot of work behind the scenes to make things happen for A-Game.

We are kicking this segment off with Ananya, our Business Operations Intern whose been on the team since last summer. She is currently a sophomore at San Jose State University majoring in Business Administration (Management Information Systems) with a minor in Computer Science.

1).Favorite type of food?

I love trying new types of food and consider myself a foodie so it’s definitely hard to choose one, but I would have to say one of my favorite cuisines is Thai food.

2). Outside of school, can you name some of your favorite hobbies?

Some of my hobbies include dancing and baking. I am classically trained in the dance form Bharatanatyam and was also a part of my college’s competitive Bollywood dance team. Baking is something I enjoy as I get to do it with my mom and learn from her.

3). What drew you to A-Game?

A-Game’s mission of wanting to highlight individual stories drew me to this company. I knew I wanted to be a part of something that would showcase authentic stories of individuals around the world.

4). How was the adjustment with a virtual internship?

Initially, it was hard for me to adjust to the virtual internship, but the rest of the A-Game Team made this process easier. I learned early on the importance of communicating any questions I had in order to make sure there were no misunderstandings with the tasks I had to get done.

5). In what ways have you grown from this experience?

Through this internship, I have been able to work on projects that have taught me valuable skills. I have gained more confidence when it comes to sharing my ideas and thoughts on various projects.

6). Favorite moment with the A-Game team so far?

Definitely every team meeting that we have are some of my favorite moments. It’s always great to talk to the other team members and hear about what they have been working on throughout the week.

7). What brings out your A-Game?

Taking advantage of opportunities and focusing on my goals brings out my A-Game. It is very easy to get distracted from work and slack off, but constantly reminding me of my goals and the things I want to accomplish has helped me stay motivated.
